ABOUT

sam·sa·ra // (noun):
The Sanskrit word meaning "journeying" or "continuous flow." In Buddhism as well as Hinduism, the word "samsara" is defined as the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth.

As my high school career was coming to an end, my English teacher assigned our class to read the final book of the year, "Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse. It's the story of a man named Siddhartha and his journey of self-discovery. In the book, Siddhartha comes across the materialistic city of Samsara and there, he loses himself. While working toward his goal of attaining enlightenment, Siddhartha abandons all he has along with everyone he held close to. This made me realize that I have no excuse in attempting to pursue all I dream of. There's no reason for me to push aside what I truly love. And now that I've grown older, I've come to accept and embrace the fact that change is all that's constant. I will continue growing. Trends will continue changing. This blog is meant for documenting all of that.

Adventure with me on a journey of self-discovery and I'll see you in Samsara.
