VLOG: Del Mar Works.

This is what I've been up to last week, San Diego County Fair and Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista to watch the 4th of July fireworks. Be sure to watch in HD and subscribe!

Throwback Thursday with Killahouston.

"How Sinister" OOTD with Killahouston.

Candid.
The Trio: Seeyouinsamsara, Jessica Le, and Kevin Hoang of Killahouston.

I've been in California for about two weeks now and I can't help but miss my favorites up in Oregon. Looking back on everything, I'm not sure how we all became close within the past year but I'm glad we did. Here's an old outfit of the day from the beginning of my senior year. We had an awkward day off in the middle of the week and decided to watch Sinister and Pitch Perfect. I decided to dress on the sinister part. Obviously.

WHAT I'M WEARING:
LIPS: Cyber by M.A.C.
HAT: White knit beanie from H&M.
TOP: Black and White Cross Sweater from my sister's closet.
BOTTOMS: High Waisted DIY Shorts thrifted from Buffalo Exchange.
OUTERWEAR: Camo Jacket from Pac Sun.
ACCESSORIES: Spiked Bracelet, Thigh High Socks from H&M.
SHOES: Long Lace up Combat Boots from Trends.

Since I've been in San Diego, I've rarely ever gotten the chance to get onto my laptop but I try to post whenever I get the chance. I'm actually heading to Kona, Hawaii this upcoming Tuesday for a couple days so I'm not sure if I'll be able to post at all next week. Don't get me wrong, I'll definitely try to. If you want to keep updated with me, you can give me a follow on instagram: @ssanantonio.

Hope you all are having a lovely week!

Waiting for the fireworks show from our spot.

I spent my Fourth of July holiday picnicking with my family at Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista. We arrived pretty early in order to reserve a decent spot to watch the fireworks show. The weather was extremely hot but it got chilly as soon as it got dark so I brought a maroon cardigan to go along with my red-white-and-blue themed outfit.

NAILS: Pacific Blue (420) by Sally Hansen.
SUNGLASSES: Oversized Gradient Circle Shades from Ebay.

"I want you to move to California for yourself. I want you to find whatever your heart needs. I want you to move to California for yourself, but not for me."

So I arrived in San Diego a couple days ago and I haven't been able to update my blog any sooner because I've been swamped with plans. But here's a tribute to everything else going on in my life by the San Diego indie rocker group, Delta Spirit.

Mixed Metal Accessory Haul.

H&M Accessory Haul.
So the other day I splurged and stocked up on some basic accessories to layer with from H&M. I do realize that it would have been more practical to film a haul video, but because I've been busy preparing for my trip to California I figured blogging is more convenient.

The contrast between light cool-toned metals and dark tanned skin is something I drool over so I have a tendency to gravitate toward silver accessories. I tried adding more gold to my collection by purchasing ear cuffs, classic gold bands, and a skinny cuff bracelet but I couldn't pass up the turquoise accented bracelets and another pair of classic bands in silver.

I know we were all once told that we shouldn't mix metals but I'm all for it. Sure, wearing gold with gold and silver with silver creates a timeless and traditional look but you'll receive something much more unique and modern if you mix metals correctly. If you're going to mix metals, keep the style of the jewelry the same or wear a two-toned foundation piece.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Top Left: Mixed Metal Midi-Ring Trio by Divided ($5.95),
Silver bands ($5.95), Gold Bands ($5.95)
Top Right: Turquoise Bracelet ($9.95)
Bottom Left: Double Gold Earcuffs ($4.95)
Bottom Right: Silver Bracelet Trio with Turquoise Accents ($7.95), Skinny
Gold Spike Bracelet from The New Icons Collection ($7.95)

All necklaces purchased from Forever 21.

Tortoise Clubmaster Frames.
Last but not least, after trying on my best friend's pair of clear Clubmaster frames, I had to purchase a pair of my own. I bought these retro tortoise Clubmasters from Nordstrom's for only $10. A simple piece such as this can completely change up an outfit.

Bring on the Lace Bras.

UO Black Lace Bra.
On, Close-up.
Oregon has been hit with an insane heat wave and normally I wouldn't mind dealing with a little discomfort when it comes to fashion, but I'm not going to put up with it in this weather. The struggle to keep from profusely perspiring is real and thick underwire bras that have a tendency to trap in the heat do not make the struggle any easier.

I purchased one of the Urban Outfitters Lace Bras for about $16 a couple weeks ago and I regret not buying a couple more. It's extremely comfortable with a flirty sheerness that is quite appealing although it's not constructed in a way that'll lift or push up your boobs. However, it surely does the job for my fellow girls who are a part of the itty bitty titty committee.

On sweltering hot days, pair it with easy breezy dresses or sheer low cut tops. There's enough lace and lining for modesty so I personally think that it doesn't look trashy if a little peeks through. Definitely a summer wardrobe staple item.
