OOTD: Hello Helgas

Back in January, my friend Kevin spoiled me with a pair of Deandri Helga's for my nineteenth birthday. Deandri is a brand based in Los Angeles, California that design and sell their own clothing, shoes, and accessories (harnesses to be specific). I've been lusting over their handmade shoes for years now so I was ecstatic to finally get my hands on a pair of my own. (THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS) Unfortunately, I've been pretty comfortable this past year when it came to fashion and dressing up so the Helgas have been collecting dust under my bed for the past eight months. -- I'm over staying stagnant and I'm currently in the process of becoming inspired and rediscovering my style because it's definitely more grown since high school.

Gloomy days in the northwest call for all (or mostly all) black so I slipped into a mock neck leotard and paired my high waisted black skinnies over it. Added the "FUCK OFF" heart necklace my boyfriend gave me to keep the top from looking to empty. There wasn't much going on with my outfit in the first place so I decided to finally break in my statement shoes (which surprisingly aren't as uncomfortable as they look). I'm so in love with these Helgas and I grow an extra six inches with them on, so it's like a whole new world.

WHAT I'M WEARING:
TOP: Black Sleeveless Mock Neck Leotard (Forever 21)
BOTTOM: Black High Waisted Skinny Jeans (Bullhead)
ACCESSORIES: Gold "FUCK OFF" Heart Necklace (Tevin Vincent -- Gifted)
SHOES: Pale Pink Deandri Helgas (Deandri -- Gifted)
OUTERWEAR: Black Faux Leather Jacket (H&M)

OOTD: Post July 4th Crybaby (7.8.14)

So serious. Lol. I sit on chairs weird.

The other day I went shopping and caught up with Kevin (@killahouston) over iced coffees (so typical). Oregon's been hitting the 90's lately. To combat the heat, I wore these blue denim high waisted mom shorts and paired it with a cropped muscle tee that simply skims over the upper region of your body. The graphic muscle tee features young Johnny Depp with a tear streaming down his cheek from the 1990's musical rom com "Crybaby." Alone, this outfit seemed too plain so I added a bold lip and a braided plaid bow which played into the color scheme of the whole fit. The bow unfortunately kept slipping off my head throughout the day so I eventually took it off. And I found out heat = sweat = bold lips w/o lipliner = bleeding lipstick. Bleeding lips = too high maintenance.  (Lipliner is so important!!!) I was going to see my boyfriend later on in the day anyway so I decided I might as well just take it off.

Although this looks very festival or July 4th appropriate, I didn't wear this over July 4th weekend. (I wasn't very festive at all actually.) I spent the weekend with my love. Celebrated the fourth with his family. (Independence day also marked our 6 months!)

Thanks bb!

Hello hellllo. So it's been seven months since the last time I've posted and I apologize for the sudden and very extended hiatus. Life kind of just took over and I lost interest in lookbook, blogging, and the whole OOTD thing in general. And although I have been wanting to get back into this again for awhile, my laziness convinced me to keep putting it off till later. Typical.

Lame excuses aside, I'm back now and I plan on posting at least once every two weeks until I've gotten the hang of things again. (It's not too ambitious.. reasonable, right?) Deleting everything on this blog and coming back with a clean slate was something I've been debating but I suppose there's no point in abandoning this baby only to recreate it.

Yesterday was a 3/4th BAESQUAD day -- Spent some quality time strolling around downtown Portland with my not-so-little little sister Erin and brudder Kevin (killahouston). Unfortunately it was another one of those days where Oregon forgot what summer weather should look like so I threw on something pretty basic. Nothing too special.

My mom had this thin worn down Lacoste v-neck that was only collecting dust in her closet. The neckline was stretched out so instead of resembling a v-neck, it looked a lot more like a deep scoop neck. Of course instead of throwing it out, I gave it a home in my closet and wear it whenever I want something over the shoulder. Paired the top with a lace bralette so I'd be covered if anything was to peek out.. Lol. Wanted to keep it effortless so I wore some boyfriend jeans and some ankle boots to keep it from looking too sloppy. Accessorized with two fistfuls of rings. (Silver over gold any day!) Aaaand that's pretty much it.

As you can see, I put a lot of effort into looking somewhat homeless.

WHAT I'M WEARING:

Winter's around the corner and I've been in a pretty colorless mood lately -- more so than I normally am at least. Yesterday I went downtown (not unusual) with a friend to run a couple errands and hunt for jobs because my wallet is a sad sad thing. Definitely not the smartest outfit to wear in the Oregon cold but the leather moto jacket was able to sustain a decent amount of warmth. I also layered thick black leggings underneath my harem pants to keep me warm as well.

Throwback Thursday with Killahouston.

"How Sinister" OOTD with Killahouston.

Candid.
The Trio: Seeyouinsamsara, Jessica Le, and Kevin Hoang of Killahouston.

I've been in California for about two weeks now and I can't help but miss my favorites up in Oregon. Looking back on everything, I'm not sure how we all became close within the past year but I'm glad we did. Here's an old outfit of the day from the beginning of my senior year. We had an awkward day off in the middle of the week and decided to watch Sinister and Pitch Perfect. I decided to dress on the sinister part. Obviously.

WHAT I'M WEARING:
LIPS: Cyber by M.A.C.
HAT: White knit beanie from H&M.
TOP: Black and White Cross Sweater from my sister's closet.
BOTTOMS: High Waisted DIY Shorts thrifted from Buffalo Exchange.
OUTERWEAR: Camo Jacket from Pac Sun.
ACCESSORIES: Spiked Bracelet, Thigh High Socks from H&M.
SHOES: Long Lace up Combat Boots from Trends.

Since I've been in San Diego, I've rarely ever gotten the chance to get onto my laptop but I try to post whenever I get the chance. I'm actually heading to Kona, Hawaii this upcoming Tuesday for a couple days so I'm not sure if I'll be able to post at all next week. Don't get me wrong, I'll definitely try to. If you want to keep updated with me, you can give me a follow on instagram: @ssanantonio.

Hope you all are having a lovely week!
